LilyPC — a new modding project by E.E.L. Ambiense

While already working on his BIO-A10 modding project, the famous modder Jeremy Birch (who is mostly know by his nickname “E.E.L. Ambiense”) decided to start another modding project. The new project is a classic case mod called LilyPC and it’s made for Jeremy’s step-daughter, who happens to be named Lillith, but goes by Lily. Since this project is made as a birthday present for Jeremy’s step-daughter, it has a deadline of September 11, by which the project should be ready.

As this mod isn’t about the best specs or performance, E.E.L. Ambiense won’t use any fancy hardware — he’ll mostly use the components that he already has, such as a fairly old AM2+ setup of hardware. One of such components is the base of this project: the compact aluminum enclosure from Lian Li — Lian Li PC-60. The system will also feature a water cooling loop, also made from some “vintage” (but still more than decent) components. You can get the idea of this project and its preliminary plans from the pictures below and, if you are interested, you can also follow the build process in the project’s worklog.
